Poker Stars Links itself with Fox Sports

One of the industry’s biggest online poker sites, Poker Stars has teamed up with another giant, Fox Sports in a joint venture to bring free poker to the sports news site. Players will be able to enjoy free-to-play poker games, as well as learn poker strategy, read up on industry news and follow tournament results. With 40 million users, it is clear that Fox Sports could not have chosen a bigger icon in the poker world than Poker Stars.

“FOXSports.com is one of the most popular online destinations in the world, with thriving sports, gaming, and poker arenas that host the best live and editorial content on thousands of sporting and gaming events every week,” said the North American Regional Director for Poker Stars, Joe Versaci. “This tie-in will see FOXSports.com and PokerStars.net combine the best live and editorial content with the web’s best online poker games.”

The Vice President of Gaming at Fox Sports, Jim Bernard also commented on the partnership and said: “Fox Sports is thrilled to team up with PokerStars.net. Poker enthusiasts are some of the most fanatical and engaged sports fans on the web today. We look forward to delivering the poker experience to our 26 million users.”

Virgin Casino in New UK TV Campaign

Virgin Casino's products and services will be seen by millions of viewers on UK TV, thanks to a new advertising campaign launched by Virgin Games. The ads will promote the online casino site’s range of games, and emphasize the growing collection of slot machines, which is added to at least once a week. Virgin Games has spent £500,000 on the campaign, which includes a 20 second ad that will appear on ITV and Channel 4 over a period of 2 weeks.

“We had such a fantastic response from our first Virgin Bingo ad launched last year that we decided that this was the right way to go for Virgin Casino,” said the Casino Acquisition Manager, Oliver Wilson. “Bingo received a 100% increase in player registrations on the back of the first adverts aired late last year and this evidence suggests it makes absolute sense for TV to play a significant part in the marketing mix for the casino product.”

Wilson said that TV is a new strategy for Virgin Casino and the group believes that the two are a natural fit. “Consumers like familiarity and security of knowing they are playing with a trusted and reputable company,” he said. “Being part of the Virgin brand helps this, while TV raises awareness of the casino product and the range of slot games we offer.”

Bigger Slot Tournament Prizes this Month at Crazy Slots Casino

There's a lot happening at Crazy Slots online casino this November. The gambling site has increased its total guaranteed prize pool for the month, offering over $550,000 in prizes to players spread across 140 exciting tourneys. The biggest tournament to look out for is the fantastic Thanksgiving Freeroll that begins in the middle of the month – November 14th – and has a staggering $200,000 in prize money up for grabs. Players are urged to sign up to this event as soon as possible, and join the 1,500 other players who have already done so. What makes this such an attractive offer (besides its huge prize pool) is that there is absolutely no entrance fee, meaning that players don’t risk their own bankroll in the very least. The Thanksgiving Freeroll may be the biggest tournament at Crazy Slots, but it is certainly not the only one. There are plenty of other events running at the site this month, some of them freerolls, some with minimal entry fees, and others with bigger fees but larger pots to match.

Microgaming Rolls out New Games

It’s that time of the month again – when software giant, Microgaming rolls out its new games for November. This time, the four new slot games promise to be as exciting as we have come to expect from Microgaming, especially the Robin Head: Feathers of Fortune video slot game. What makes this Robin Hood themed game so unique is that all the characters we have grown to love in the timeless classic are featured as winged birds, so that Friar Tuck, Robin and the Merry Maid Marion all have their own personalized characters in bird form! The game follows the 243-ways-to-win format, and players can also stand in line to win 15 free spins with double payouts.

The other three games introduced by Microgaming this month include Mad Dash (animated animals on a race track), Reel Gems (with dazzling precious stones scattered across the reels) and Retro Reels with a classic look and traditional three reel play. All four games are available at Microgaming online casinos such as Platinum Play and All Slots Casino.
