Superior Casino Re-launched

A new, redesigned site is sure to thrill online casino gamblers with exciting new games and user-friendly features. Superior Casino, long considered one of the favorites in the industry, recently re-launched its site and already players are flocking to see what surprises are in store for them. Among the interesting new finds are forty games, including a range of islots (interactive themed slot games) such as Hole in One and other 3D adventure slot games.

Superior Casino, which is fully licensed in the Netherlands Antilles, has also focused on improving its deposit methods so that United States players – who have been feeling a little left out in recent moths – can join the site smoothly and in a hassle-free way. In addition, as an extension of Superior Casino’s customer-friendly policy, its download program takes only minutes to install. The online casino will also be offering lucrative bonuses to new players at its site and rewarding affiliates with a particularly generous percentage rate.

CGTV and Leisure Gaming Merger Halted

The popular online betting and gambling company, Leisure and Gaming, recently made an announcement to the London Stock Market that it was terminating a potential merger bid between itself and the Canadian gaming company, CGTV (Casino and Gaming Television Canada). No reason for the termination was given, although industry experts believe that Leisure and Gaming understood that it was worth more, after it was offered a better deal by other companies in the market than the one initially offered by CGTV.

At the end of September, Leisure and Gaming announced in its interim report that it was negotiating with CGTV, a company that is known to have successfully merged with others, such as the ailing Gambling Federation in a deal struck last year. Leisure and Gaming is not thought to be in any kind of negotiation stage with other companies at present, although, with the termination of its cooperation with CGTV effective immediately, it is only a matter of time when we will hear of another merger deal being struck in the online casino industry.

WCOOP Payouts Halted

After a thorough investigation into presumed irregularities in the gambling activities of the winner of this year’s World Championship of Online Poker Main Event, the competition’s organizers have announced that he has been disqualified and will not be paid out the top prize money. Poker Stars.com, the Kahnawake-based site that created and managed the successful WCOOP annual event, said that the player known as ‘The V0id’ would be stripped of his title and would not receive the $1-million award as originally announced.

In a statement, Poker Stars said: 'We have determined, based on the totality of evidence, that the tournament winner, ‘TheV0id’, was in breach of the Poker Stars Terms of Service’. No other details were forthcoming about the investigation and the online poker site said that, in the interest of confidentiality and privacy, it would not be providing any more information. It is generally understood, however, that the decision to disqualify this player came over an incident involving an eliminated account and the setting up of other accounts on leading poker forums in ways that were not completely ‘kosher’. As a result of the disqualification, the runner up in the competition, who plays under the alias ‘ka$ino’, and who battled the ‘V0id’ for 22 hours before finally admitting defeat, would be bumped up to first place and receive the full prize amount. In addition, adjustments would be made to the prize amounts awarded to more than four hundred other competition participants.

Backgammon Masters Launches 21 Blackjack

Fans of the popular backgammon site, Backgammon Masters, will be pleased to note that the casino has launched a real money version of its wildly successful 21 Blackjack which was, until recently, only available in practice mode. From now on, players can bet for hard cash during their 21 Blackjack games and stand in to line to win great prize money as a result. Players who still want to stick to the play mode until they are confident enough to join real-money play, will still be able to do so and will even be given the opportunity to sit in on real games to gain more experience.

In addition to blackjack, Backgammon Masters also offers poker, perudo and, of course, backgammon in one extremely convenient All-in-One Game’s Lobby using one ewallet for all the games on the site. Players get to enjoy one of the most excellent gaming experiences on the internet, including buzzing chat rooms, an active egambling community, up to five players seated simultaneously around the tables, top quality 3D graphics and exciting avatars, to mention just a few. Backgammon Masters attributes its success to the fact that it offers convenient playing and paying methods, as well as its ability to corner what players are really looking for in terms of games and features in the industry.
