Microgaming Unrolls New QuickFire Software
Microgaming has come up with the perfect way to allow online gambling sites that don’t usually use its software, to still bring its players the best of the Microgaming portfolio. The software group has launched QuickFire, which can be quickly and securely integrated into any existing system on practically any platform, including poker, casino, sports betting, mobile and Live Gambling. This cuts out the need for extensive back office support, and allows operators to offer their players over 150 of Microgaming’s best games such as Lord of the Rings, Thunderstruck and so forth.
“QuickFire provides a fast and efficient way for operators to bring Microgaming's premium content to their players and we have been delighted with the market's response since our launch,” said a spokesperson for QuickFire, Ashley Sandyford-Sykes.
“We are confident that this product will prove tremendously successful with poker, bingo and sportsbook operators looking to enhance their portfolio of casino side games.”

Net Entertainment Signs Lucrative New Deal with Universal
With software groups long recognizing that branded games are their most popular among discerning slot fans, many have signed lucrative deals over the years with giant media groups for the right to produce games based on movie titles, comic characters and others. The latest to jump on the bandwagon is the Swedish gaming group, Net Entertainment. The group recently signed a deal with Universal Partnerships and Licensing, which will see the latter give Net Ent the right to develop a number of games based on classic movie titles in a multiyear licensing deal.
“This is a landmark for Net Entertainment,” said the Chief Executive Officer of Net Entertainment, Johan Ohman, “and will enable us to further enhance our product offering to also include games based on brands and characters well know to the mass market.”
The first game is already being developed, and Net Entertainment believes that once the games have been produced, they will become hugely popular. The deal will also bring Net Ent into line with other top software groups in the business on a competitive level. The success of Cryptologic and Playtech lie largely on their branded games, such as their takes on the Marvel Comics characters.
