Beach Life Slot Pays out £5.1 Million Jackpot

A lucky player walked away with a massive multi million pound prize after hitting the jackpot on the popular Beach Life slot game at Betfred Casino. The player, who has decided to stay anonymous for the moment, had only wagered a single pound on the game when he hit the jackpot. To add to the excitement of the player’s win, the founder of Betfred, Fred Done, flew him on a private check to receive his winnings.

“As a bookmaker, I get a real thrill out of turning someone into a multi-millionaire at the click of a mouse,” said Fred Done. “The jackpot has been growing for a while now and we were all hoping it would be one of our customers that won this life-changing jackpot. It just goes to show it's always worth trying your luck.”

A statement issued by the Gibraltar based online casino read: “Thanks to the online casino at Betfred.com, our new multi-millionaire player has the option of relaxing on the beach from now on and, while it's not every day someone wins an incredible £5.1million, there are plenty of other chances to hit the big time at Betfred.com.”

Poker Stars Earns Malta License

Poker Stars, considered the world’s leading online poker room, has announced that it was granted an operating license by the reputable Malta Lotteries and Gaming Commission. The poker room is making great strides in the European gaming market, and the new Malta license means that players in Finland and Sweden can now enjoy its top notch games and software.

In a statement issued by the online poker room, it was said: “PokerStars has established an office in Malta which will manage PokerStars.eu. The majority of PokerStars players will continue to play on PokerStars.com, a site that continues to operate under our global licence from the Isle of Man.”

“PokerStars players in Sweden and Finland can easily update their existing PokerStars software and re-register their accounts to PokerStars.eu. All balances on existing accounts including cash, frequent player points, VIP player points and VIP status will be automatically moved over and will be immediately available after the move is completed.”

The Malta license was granted just a short time after Poker Stars earned a license to operate in the newly regulated Belgian gambling market, one of only a handful of online poker operators entitled to do so.

Poker Stars said that offering its online poker services on PokerStars.eu with a Malta license provided benefits to players in Sweden and Finland, and the group was always striving to offer the best product possible to its players wherever they are located.
