Cryptologic Spreads Product Line in Europe

Cryptologic, the software provider that is recognized for its top quality games and products, will be spreading out in the European market even more, thanks to a new deal signed with The Gaming Network (TGN). This group is an industry leading white label gambling platform that is linked to several well known sites on the internet, including Lottery.co.uk. The Malta based TGN will roll out Cryptologic’s games and products onto these sites, starting in the third quarter of this year.

“We are very familiar with Cryptologic's innovative and entertaining casino software,” commented the Chief Executive Officer of The Gaming Network, Andrew Branscombe. “We are very pleased to be using these industry leading games on the brands we operate, beginning with Lottery.co.uk. We look forward to hearing the feedback from our players and to introducing the full suite of Cryptologic games on our other popular sites.”

In the meantime, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cryptologic, Brian Hadfield also had his say regarding the deal. “Cryptologic's casino software is both highly popular and highly profitable,” he said, “and today that earns us the confidence of yet another European customer. It's significant that through one agreement, Cryptologic will supply internet casino software to several leading brands - and that will add to our revenue and profitability in late 2009 and beyond.”

Ladbrokes Continues Nordic Marketing Campaign

Top industry gambling group, Ladbrokes, which runs online and offline gaming brands, has announced that it will not give up on breaking into the Nordic markets. As such, the company will be continuing into the second phase of a powerful campaign that began last year in order to attract North European gamblers to its sites. The new campaign aims to educate players from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway about the odds, prices differences and product ranges that they are able to find beyond the traditional Nordic monopoly groups.

“The Nordic region is an important one for Ladbrokes and we believe this strong, hard hitting, creative communicates the benefits of betting with Ladbrokes as opposed to the state monopoly and other betting operators,” commented the Managing Director of eGaming at Ladbrokes, Ed Andrews.

Ladbrokes will be focusing its marketing campaign on television channels, although the campaign will also incorporate radio air time and other platforms. It is hoped that by providing Nordic players with all the information, they will be able to make an educated choice about their gambling habits.

GTech Beats Competition to Win New York Lottery Contract

GTech, the Providence based lottery provider that has supplied its top products to a wide range of locations around the globe, has landed itself a particularly lucrative contract. After a lengthy procurement process which had GTech up against other industry giants such as Intralot and Scientific Games, the company was informed that it had outbid the competition and would be able to provide the New York Lottery with its excellent products for at least seven years.

“We are honored to have the largest lottery in North America and one of the most respected in the world, the New York Lottery, remain as our valued customer,” announced the President of GTech, Jaymin Patel. “Lotteries from around the world will look at the New York Lottery as a model for balanced and sustainable growth. As the Lottery's online vendor, GTech will continue to deliver the maximum player experience, integrity, security and profitability.”

The director of the New York Lottery, Gordon Medenica, outlined the importance of using only the very best lottery provider in the industry to power the brand. “The lottery is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week business,” he said. “We process over 5.5 billion transactions a year, transactions that must be secure, impenetrable and 100 percent accurate. Our system needs to be reliable and extremely high performing. We average nearly $20 million a day in sales, and the cost of even the slightest system downtime is enormous.”
