Bwin.Party Signs New US Poker Deal
Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment, the group which evolved after a merger between Bwin and Party Gaming, has shifted its attentions to the US gambling market, and has signed a 10 year deal with the United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) of California. The lucrative deal will see Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment provide the tribe with online poker software if and when the state regulates and licenses poker.
"California is the largest state in the U.S. in terms of population and is known to have a significant number of poker players who like to play poker online,” said the co-chief executive officers of Bwin.Party, Jim Ryan and Norbert Teufelberger. “Combining our own significant assets and resources with those of UAIC will create a strong partnership that is well-placed to seize the opportunities that will arise if appropriate online poker legislation is enacted in the Golden State.”
The Tribal Chief of the UAIC, David Keyser said that the tribe sees the legislation of internet poker and other internet gaming as being inevitable in California. “Having met with representatives from a number of different online gaming companies, Bwin.Party was our first choice as partner,” he said. “With its expertise in online poker, proven technology and player loyalty we are confident of being able to maximize the revenue opportunity from a regulated online poker market in California and to continue to enhance the long-term prosperity of our community.”

Bet365 to Sponsor Stoke City FC
Stoke City football club has earned itself a new sponsor after it was announced that the leading sports betting group, Bet365 had entered into a lucrative deal with the club.
Bet365 signed the seven figure contract with the English Premier League club this week, and will see the gambling company become the club’s shirt sponsor.
The Chief Executive Officer for Bet365, Denise Coates said that she was delighted to have reached an agreement to become the team’s short sponsor. “It is a perfect fit for us as a Stoke on Trent based company with a global reach and international markets to become shirt sponsor of our local English Premier League club,” she said. “This builds upon the extensive sponsorship, LED and advertising we are already committed to at many English Premier League clubs and within the sports industry in general. It also further demonstrates our long term commitment to the club.”
The CEO for Stoke City, Tony Scholes said that the club was hugely indebted to the support from Bet365 and its owners, the Coates family. He said that the agreement with Bet365 meant that Stoke City had been able to maximize the international element of the club’s exposure.
