Windows Casino Player Wins Big on Slot Game

It seems that the Swedes have monopolized Lady Luck this week, after a second player from this Scandinavian country claimed a top jackpot prize at Windows Casino. The Playtech powered casino announced last week that Robert N. had won €29,938 while playing eight different slot games at this site. He was so thrilled with his win that he decided to spread the word about the excellent payouts at WindowCasino.com, including to a friend, Julia M., also from Sweden. It was the best advice that Julia had ever taken when she decided to open an account at Windows Casino and start playing. Just a few days later, she hit the jackpot on two exciting games, Kong: The 8th Wonder of the World and The Incredible Hulk.

According to a statement issued by Windows Casino: “We enjoy it when new casino players and loyal casino players win at the WindowsCasino.com.

“Windows Casino has for many years provided entertainment to Swedish casino players and hopes to for many more years to come. What marks these two wins apart is that both of these slot players won these amounts playing a variety of slot games and did not hit a progressive slot jackpot.”

It was important for the online casino to stress that players “do actually win on the casino”, and invited players from around the world to try out its wide range of slots and other games.

Alderney Gambling Commission Suspends Full Tilt Poker’s License

The Alderney Gambling Commission announced that it has suspended the operating license of the embattled Full Tilt Poker, effective immediately. This means that the site has suspended operations as of now.

A statement issued by Alderney said that: “The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General’s Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation”

The Executive Director of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, Andre Wilsenach said that the decision to suspend Full Tilt Poker’s egambling license was in the “public interest” and, due to the seriousness and urgency of the matter, it was required that immediate action be taken ahead of the regulatory hearing. He revealed that a hearing has been set for Tuesday, July 26th in London.

Full Tilt Poker is not allowed to register new customers nor is it allowed to accept deposit by existing customers or allow them to withdraw their funds. Customers are also not allowed to play any form of poker or casino games on the site until the hearing.

Betfair CEO Announces his Resignation

The Chief Executive Officer for Betfair, David Yu, announced that he will not seek to renew his employment contract with the gambling giant after it expires in October. Yu has been employed at Betfair for over a decade and has been CEO for six of those years. In a statement issued last week, Yu said that he had discussed the issue with the board and, as a result, Betfair will begin a search for his successor. “We are announcing this now so that we can actively and transparently begin the process,” he said. “I will remain committed to delivering the best for our people and our shareholders, and will give the board all possible support during the succession period so that we can find a great new Chief Executive Officer to steer Betfair through its next phase of growth.”

It is understood that since its flotation, Betfair shareholders have been unhappy with the CEO’s performance and some say that his departure is a direct result of the feedback he received from these shareholders.
