New Non Executive for Playtech
Playtech, the online gambling operator and software provider announced the appointment of Andrew Thomas as its new non-executive director. The nearly 70 year old Thomas will work as chair of Playtech’s audit committee. Thomas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has enjoyed an “extensive career” as a businessman and accountant, noted Playtech.
Playtech recently announced that it was going to cancel its listing on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and join its main market in the coming days.
“I am delighted that Andrew has decided to join Playtech’s board at this exciting time in the company’s development,” said the Chairman of the group, Roger Withers. “Andrew has considerable recent financial and taxation experience, which he will be able to bring to the role of chair of our audit committee, together with an excellent understanding of the public markets.”
Andrew Thomas previously served as chairman for Randalls Limited, Greenalls Group Pension Trustees and a non-executive director for JJB Sports and Restaurant.
