Party Casino Player Wins $5 million

A $45 stake on the slot machines has earned one very lucky player from Germany nearly $5 million. The player, known only by his handle name ‘gamago’, is a member of the Palladium Lounge VIP program at Party Casino and headed to the Mega Fortune Wheel game to try his luck last week. Imagine his amazement when he learned that he had won himself an incredible $4,978,336.32!

“I was so shocked when I won the jackpot and the news still hasn't really sunk in!” said the player “I have to say I had my eye on the big jackpot but I really don't playing aiming for them, I play for fun.  I have won $50,000 and $100,000 jackpots before but nothing on this scale. It is unbelievable that one spin has given me nearly $5 million!”

“To be honest, I don't have any plans on what I am going to do with the money just yet,” he said when asked about his future plans.

A spokesman for Party Casino said: “We would like to congratulate gamago on taking down this monster record Gold Mega Jackpot and making online gaming history. We assumed the jackpot would reach $5 million and stated as such but this record Gold Mega Jackpot hit shortly after we published those fateful words!”

“Gamago is a valued member of the Palladium Lounge,” added the spokesman, “and we wish him well with his newly found mega riches.”

Sportsbetting Sites Get Ready for World Cup Action

A celebration draw in Cape Town last week saw 32 qualifying teams from around the world get placed in eight different groups of four each as the first build up towards the FIFA 2010 World Cup soccer tournament. The star studded ceremony ended on a high, and oddmakers rushed in soon afterwards to start predicting which team will find its way into finals of the World Cup that will be held in South Africa next year. Sportsbooking sites are now reporting incredible activity as wagerers rush to back their favorite teams and, hopefully, make some cash in the process.

After the draw, many teams saw their odds change – some for the worse and some for the better. The English team, for example, found itself in a group with the United States, Algeria and Slovenia, meaning that its odds tumbled from 6/1 to 11/2. France, however, did exceptionally well, after landing in Group A with host nation, South Africa. Paddy Power said, “That could have been us, and we’d have fancied our chances too – not to worry though we can always cheer on England!”
