Full Tilt Poker Pays Out in France
After re-launching on November 6th, Full Tilt Poker has been very busy ensuring that as many of its former players as possible are able to get their hands on the money left in their account since April last year. The majority of non-US players were able to access their accounts from the day that the site re-opened, however a number of European governments had restrictions in place that made it difficult for payouts to be made. This week, the Autorite de Regulation des Jeux en Ligne (ARJEL), the French gambling authorities, announced that over EUR 3 million which was owed to local players had been transferred from Full Tilt Poker to its new parent company, Poker Stars, which is allowed to operate in France and therefore can be accessed by former FTP players. EUR 1 million is still waiting to be claimed.
In the meantime, US players have been told that they still have to wait a long time before they are able to claim their money as the Department of Justice has still not begun the process of returning the millions still owed to them.
