Win A Day Casino Jackpot Progressing

The progressive jackpot that links the 21 different games at Win A Day online casino is climbing fast and has already passed the $131,000 mark. Since the jackpot hasn’t been hit in 6 weeks already, casino management is urging players to try their luck on any of the unique games and put themselves in line to win this super amount – just in time for Christmas. The last win found the player, Marie S., $158,778 richer and previous wins have climbed over $200,000.

“Of course, our progressive jackpot can be won any time as it is completely random,” said Michael Hilary, Win A Day Casino Manager. “You just have to hit the right combination and have placed a maximum bet on that spin. But slot strategy isn’t always logical. When the jackpot gets big enough or goes long enough without a win, a lot of players start to feel like the very next spin could be a massive winner so we see a lot more maximum bets at a time like this.”

“On the one hand, I’d love to see the progressive jackpot reach $225,000 this time,” he added. “However, we’d love to pay out a huge jackpot to someone right at Christmas. Our Reel De Luxe slot machine, the one that’s dedicated to shoppers, is all decked out for the holidays. It would be cool if someone hit the jackpot on that game.”

Net Entertainment Releases New Platinum Slots Game

Net Entertainment, the leading Swedish software provider, announced the release of the second game in its platinum slots series, Boom Brothers. This follows the successful release of Gonzo’s Quest to partner sites last year.

The new Boom Brothers features a trio of animated miners as they toil below ground in a bid to find hidden treasures. Net Ent is especially proud of the fantastic features of this game, ranging from spinning symbols, special effect animations, avalanches and the much more. Players can also enjoy a Rail track game which wins them extra bonus boom coins and access to the bonus game where the crazy mining brothers race to blast the rock face to win a huge jackpot.

Net Entertainment said in a statement released with the game: “With Boom Brothers, Net Entertainment is once again delivering a leading-edge game production featuring superior graphics, excitement and revolutionary mathematical design, which give these slots a unique mass-market appeal.”

“Net Entertainment lives up to its reputation by delivering games of the highest quality featuring high-end graphics and mathematics tied together by a grounded story,” continued the group. “This provides operators and players a cutting-edge world of innovation and creativity to choose from.”

Ladbrokes Eyes a New Bid on 888 Holdings

Both Ladbrokes Casino, the giant UK bookmaker, and online gambling group 888 Holdings have confirmed that they are in early, preliminary takeover talks, with 888’s shares rise substantially as a result. Four years ago, Ladbrokes was eyeing a potential takeover of 888, however dropped out after US authorities started investigating 888’s involvement in the US gambling market prior to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Not much has changed since then, and 888 has still not settled with the Department of Justice as other groups such as Party Gaming have, however the fact does not seem to deter Ladbrokes this time around. “It is not as if Ladbrokes doesn’t know about the US situation,” said an analyst.

Market experts believe that a merger between the two is a good proposition. “It offers both sides solutions,” said one. “888 hasn’t got economies of scale to compete in regulated markets and Ladbrokes needs internationalization and better marketing.”

A newspaper report suggested that Ladbrokes had offered 888 70p a share – giving 888 a value of £240 million. Interestingly, this is half the amount that Ladbrokes offered in the first round of talks four years ago.
